On Saturday the 7th of February I am doing an organised ride/walk. The route is around Vogrie country park and beyond ending back within Vogrie country park. The route is just over 5.5 miles. It takes just over 2 hours to complete at a walking pace. I have tried and tested it already. Hoping the weather holds up for us on the day. Everyone is welcome to attend on horse or on foot. I am asking for a minimum donation of £5 to those who wish to participate. My reason for doing this is my beloved papa Phillip McCall - who sadly passed away on the 27th of July last year. My papa suffered with MS for years the whole time I’ve been here he’s had it, slowly it progressively got worse. It was awful watching it take my papas life from him. He was once a very active outgoing person with a very busy schedule. He enjoyed seeing his friends and family on a regular basis. Up until the very end my papa was always there for me no matter how hard things got for him. It’s been a huge loss for me having to adjust to life without him. I really really hope by doing this I am making him proud. If I can also make a difference to anyone out there with MS and help this charity make a difference for the future then that will also make me very very happy. Please donate if you can

By taking part in your walk for MS you’ll drive forward the revolution towards treatments that thousands of people desperately need. Any donation will make a difference to the lives of people affected by MS. Here are just a few examples of what your money can do... £50 could operate a high powered microscope for an hour to study cells and tissue affected by MS at the necessary resolution. £100 could process 4 blood samples and extract information about genes and the immune system that is vital when testing out new treatments. £250 could run an MRI scanner for an hour and provide the detailed images of the brain crucial for understanding MS progression. We are currently funding projects that use MRI scanners to carry out trials and understand MS in more detail.
